Overson Counseling LLC offers individual counseling for adults and children ages 8 and up, specializing in trauma, depression, and anxiety. 

The practice provides a compassionate and evidence-based approach to supporting clients' mental health and wellbeing.

Expertise

 

Everyone has times where it feels like life is running them instead of them running life. It can be difficult to know how to choose the right therapist to guide you as you navigate and overcome these problems. I want to help others overcome traumatic life events. That desire motivated me to pursue a master’s degree in Social Work. I now have 15 years of experience offering individual counseling, with experience working with both adults and children ages 8 and up. I specialize in working with clients struggling with trauma, depression, and anxiety.

I focus on providing a compassionate and evidence-based approach to supporting clients' mental health and wellbeing. I am trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Art Therapy. I see my role as serving as a guide while you navigate your healing process.


I serve people in Gilbert, Queen Creek and Mesa.

 Being the mother of 5 daughters is my greatest accomplishment in life. They have made me the grandmother to 4 adorable grandchildren and several granddogs. In my free time, I enjoy watching football, taking naps, doing puzzles and crafting.
